Tonight on Christmas Eve 2017 Jesus Christ is on my mind. How awesome is it that He the very Son of God humbled himself to take upon himself human flesh to redeem us that were under the law? Now we serve a risen Savior.
Please consider the following passages:
Romans 8:3 For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh,
Hebrews 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.
17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.
Galatians 4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
Romans 1:3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;
4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:
Hebrews 9:24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:
Praise the Lord for His love. Please trust Him today as your Savior. Remember, no works are needed as Christ paid it all. If you have trusted Christ as Savior then please share this good news with others, especially at Christmas. Let the trappings and business of Christmas with the presents and parties and food fade in comparison to absolute thrill of your faith in a risen Savior and your secure eternal future in heaven. Christ Came for us indeed and one day we will surely see Him face to face.
