There are many that will say for whatever reason that faith is not enough when it comes to obtaining the eternal gift of salvation. This gift is free to us but was purchased by Jesus Christ on the cross of calvary. Below are verses that clearly teach that salvation is received through faith. So we can say that it is offered by grace (as a free gift) and received through faith (the channel) in the object of Jesus Christ (who He is) because of the gospel (what He did). I Cor 15:1-4, Eph 2:8-9
If anyone says well but…
1) You must do good works after salvation
2) You must do good works to obtain salvation
3) You must do good works to keep salvation
4) You must feel sorry and beg with contrition for salvation
5) You must promise something for salvation
6) Your must exchange something for your salvation
7) You must be willing to stop sinning
8) You must be pre-seleted and born again (saved) then you can believe (what for?)
…then please see the verses below that proclaim otherwise. The gospel is truly good news… we just need to believe it.
